This free online course teaches the user about fundamentals of using a portable arm in coordinate metrology.  Students will learn basic mathematical concepts as they relate to metrology, including coordinate systems and vectors.  This course also gives a brief introduction to alignments and details proper measuring techniques when using a portable arm. Completing this course will give the student a basic foundation on metrology concepts and their applications to the portable arm.
