This course prepares the learner for operation of a CMM using PC-DMIS. It includes jogbox operation, cleaning/maintenance, probing, starting and executing a program and basic error recovery. (This course does NOT teach the PC-DMIS Operator Mode Interface.) 

This course builds upon the probing information taught in the PC-DMIS for CMM 101 course (and 202 scanning course). Topics covered include using Primary Tips, multiple qual spheres, star, shank & disk probes, the probe setup options, fast probe mode, scan Rdv and more.

This course explains the use of PC-DMIS Constructed Features. The lessons not only include examples for each feature type, but actual applications are given for many types such as: intersection points, pierce points, constructed lines, midplanes and more. Feature calculation types are also covered including least squares and maximum inscribed. Constructed tangent lines, circles, projections, and width feature are also included.

This course provides a functional description of multiple types of alignments including a comparison to mechanical fixtures. It includes in depth descriptions of three typical types of alignments and relates them to mechanical situations. Feature constraints, degrees of freedom, and 2D/3D feature type constraints are also covered.

INSPECT is a standalone application that helps production-level CMM operators execute PC-DMIS measurement routines using a standard, simple graphical interface. This course will explain the installation procedure, the configuration and the user interface. This course will also cover the Slideshow and Pallet options.
